St Andrew’s Hall

Vision for Improvements

This hall has some incredible spaces that unfortunately are all on different levels providing huge accessibility challenges. Our vision for this building is to transform the interior structure to offer a more welcoming and usable space for all.

  • Kitchen

    A commercial kitchen was already in place, which we were able to refit with some new equipment and ventilation.

  • Roof Repair

    The hall roof was very tired, saggy and leaking. We have replaced all the batons, installed insulation and refitted the existing tiles.

  • Electrics

    The whole building needed rewiring and we now have better brighter energy efficient lighting throughout and power where it’s needed!

  • Toilets

    We have refitted the existing upstairs loos with two new unisex cubicles each with extraction, heating, dryers and hot and cold water.

  • Accessibility

    The hall is built on four levels with stairs connecting them. Our developments will allow us to make over 50% of our spaces to be fully accessible.

  • Solar

    As part of our energy strategy we’d aim to equip the hall with solar power, a step closer to Net Zero and a new income stream.

Progress so far

APR 2024 Back in the spring we undertook the huge task of repairing the hall roof... 7 months later and it's finished and looking great. With all the original titles relaid the emphasis was on replacing the rotten battons and pins whilst insulatin
